This was one of the last paintings I completed before heading to Europe. It was definitely one of those pieces that took me on a journey.
I began by drawing the woman first and then slowly filled in the space around her. For a while, I didn’t like how the painting was developing and put it aside to work on another piece. Then one day, I saw the rest of the vision clearly and finished
